“Engi Vengi” is yet another musical proposal of the Great Choir of Young CHOREA. The group was established in 2011. Since then, it has accompanied the musical performances of the CHOREA Theatre, collecting and arranging songs from all over the world. This time we are going to draw on the Balkan musical repertoire. During the concert, we are going to perform, among others, traditional Bulgarian songs from western Bulgaria and the Rhodope Mountains. The concert will not lack Macedonian accents. We are going to hear some polyphony and dissonance, songs which are flirtatious as well as wistful, and above all, a great richness of ornaments and uneven rhythms.
The Great Choir of Young CHOREA is a musical and vocal band which was founded in the summer of 2011 by the CHOREA Theatre in Lodz. This is a group of music enthusiasts, who differ in age, experience, interests and backgrounds, but they share one great common passion for music and singing. The Choir has participated in many artistic projects organized by the CHOREA Theatre.
